Dad Bros

The show opens with a chat about how having a real life equivalent of the Facebook “Like” button would make interactions easier. Josh and Jon then talk about how their parenting styles differ between the first, second and third child. For some reason, this leads to some complaining about to-do lists.

In the second half of the show, the Dads discuss the trouble that UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has gotten into that has led to him being stripped of the title and suspended and how athletes have trouble with fame and fortune.

Our buddy Beer Man Mark joins the Dad Bros in studio to educate us on beer and home brewing. If you’ve ever thought about making your own home brew or just wanted to know what the process of homebrewing is like, the first hour is a must.

After the break, we celebrate going international. We also talk about the Apple Watch (don’t call it the iWatch), accessories, Apple haters/Android lovers. The Dads then reminisce about the analogue days and being part of the Oregon Trail generation.

The show starts off with Josh talking about a problem he has with baby birds. Jon has noticed that Apple has added new emoticons so the iPhone has multicultural emoji. This leads to an article about whether or not boys and girls are allowed to own and play with gadgets and games differently. To end the segment, Josh tries to explain Gamer Gate and the #GamerGate movement, but fails miserably.

In the second half, a dad on Instagram gives his daughter a gag T-shirt of himself with a threatening message, but some people don’t get the joke. Drone Dad with his remote controlled quadcopter brings new meaning to the term “Helicopter Parent”. To wrap the show up, the Bros go back to Emoticons and discuss their origin and is the father of Emoji proud?

Jon recaps his Vegas vacation and then ponders if it’s possible to be a cooler dad after a few drinks.

After the break, the Dads discuss people worth following on Instagram, birthday party planning, mile markers for getting old and why are grandparents afraid to be called grandparents?

The last day of roll out week is today and Jon’s already taking a vacation.

Topics include: Vodka, gym cleanliness, Jon leads a urinal rebellion, Steve-o pretends to be a dad, free range parents vs nosey neighbors, and a nanny snaps on camera.

Roll out week is moving so fast!

When we recorded this show Easter celebrations had just happened, so we thought it’d be a good idea to talk about it. Seemed relevant at the time.

We are in the middle of roll out week which means today’s show podcast is another short show.

This is the first full length episode of the podcast. We attempt to banter about pollen before we get into Spring Break, an RV discussion and then welcome Justin Timberlake to the Dad Club. Before we break, Jon talks about a woman taking an ax to the face on YouTube.

After the break we get into more allergy talk, self criticism, co-parenting, a guy says he can’t afford his stay-at-home-mom wife.
